The pace of change, new multiple business models, new competitors (internal and external), generational shifts, leadership direction changes, and employee expectations all present new situations that may seem overwhelming. Even experienced, senior executives have formidable challenges.
Advice improves performance. In most professions the top players have personal coaches. This has been true of sports for some time. A recent coaching trend has evolved with top producers in sales and other creative careers. High-level corporate executives use company sponsored or individual personal coaches.
If these top performers leverage the value of coaching then executives should use it to their advantage also.
